Cosmo’s Factory is undeniably one of the best albums of all time and it also has one of the most strange yet wonderful covers I’ve ever seen, It features the group in what appears to be a studio and they appear to be doing random things. This photo almost come off a candid, which back in those days, it probably was. Whereas nowadays, even the most “natural” looking cover photos still come off as calculated and posed, taken at least one hundred with a digital camera, this one is one of my favorites because it feels like a genuine random scene that just happened to be captured with film. Along with that, another factor that comes into play is the color scheme of the whole thing. The red carpet and blue drapes would normally clash but the orange drum set, white pillar and yellow lettering all compliment each other to keep it from feeling like an eye sore. They’re so saturated and feel very real, as if you could literally just step into the scenery yourself.
