The Weeknd has always been a creative artist and one that rightfully deserves all of the acclaim and recognition he’s received. He excels as a musical artist, never feeling afraid to bend genres and try new things, but he also has some incredible creative energy that ties every singe one of his projects together. With his most recent release, After Hours, he not only put together a collection of songs; he put together an entire persona, an entire characters, an entire lifestyle. When I see the cover for this album, I think far beyond just The Weeknd as a person himself, and the ability to create a concept that extends far beyond just the music itself is an incredible feat that some artists just aren’t able to do.
