Lynyrd Skynyrd – Street Survivors

Street Survivors is the fifth studio album from Lynyrd Skynyrd released in the late 1970’s and upon first look, it looks rather normal. The group is standing on a street enveloped in flames wearing regular clothing, without anything crazy going on. Visually, it’s just very bright and despite the scene being on fire, it’s calm and goes along nicely with the album title. But one strange and spooky thing about this cover is that three days after the record was released, the group’s plane crashed and killed many band members, along with injuring many others. After this, Street Survivors was reissued with an alternate cover. Even though the original cover is more remarkable, it really is a strange feeling to think about the history of it all.
