The Jimi Hendrix Experience – ‘Electric Ladyland’ – Vinyl

The Jimi Hendrix Experience – ‘Electric Ladyland”
Released: 10.16.1968
Genre: hard rock, psychedelic rock
This was one of those vinyl records that I found wrapped in a thick sheet of plastic and with a price sticker that was way out of my typical range (I prefer to ball on a budget, especially when it comes to vinyl). At first I didn’t want to spend the money and I told myself that if it’s at the store next time I go, I’ll let myself splurge. And when I went next time, it was there, sitting in the exact same spot as it was the first time I found it. Although it’s not an original version of the album from the 60s, this new copy of it comes with a bunch of hyper pigmented photos and notes, and gives the listener more than just sounds to remember the record by. Even though I gave up plenty of other vinyl records to purchase this one instead, I don’t regret it one bit. This is one of my favorite albums of all time, and if I can’t have an original recording of it, at least I have the next best thing.
